Darfur

Among the people who are mostly involved with Darfur, are the Chinese, the government of Sudan and the militias that were created by the government of Sudan. After a rise of two rebel groups in Darfur, the government of Sudan ( wonder how many times I can say that in here… jeez.) decided to return the rebels anger with anger of their own in turn creating militias to defend against the rebels. Where do I even get started? This is everything I have wrong with the conflict in Darfur. The Chinese decide that it’s a good idea to give money to the government of Sudan in order for them to provide the government made/ funded militias who in turn just murder innocent people throughout the country. The militias were made to stop the rebels, not murder everyone in sight. They’ve obviously gone overboard and now the government is either too oblivious to the fact or doesn’t care, there goes another problem. In order to stop all of this, they (the rebels) I feel need support, but then come even more problems. How does a country justify helping rebel groups who are fighting for the right reasons, instead of fighting with the government who’s supposed to be running the country? Maybe that’s the problem here and why there is hardly any support within Darfur. Which is more important? Trying to fix an unfixable object (Iraq… in my opinion of course), trying to work with people who don’t even want you there. Or do you sent your troops to an actual possibility of saving many lives and being able to help instead of just butting in with our high-tech technology and fire power. 2.5 million Lives have been lost already, why is there need for more? If help came, I’m sure some kind of agreement could be met. If only…

le handshakage / PROM '09!

How is it that a simple handshake can be the re-beginning of things lost? It honestly amazes me but I’m really not going to question it very much. For four months now, there has been nothing but silence, awkward walk aways, diverting of eyes. One night changed it all! But then… the date, to the dance, to the handshake and words that were lost below the music. Not like I was about to ask what he said though! He spoke words. To me. Personally. Made my night right there, without a doubt. But does it really change everything? I once told myself I’d never let him just come back into my life just like that. But, when you lose someone you love like that, best friend material all you really want is to have it back.
Which I guess leads me to like… prom! Random fact on my part, the only dance I’ve ever been to throughout my entire educational career was in 6th grade, the first dance of the year. I remember dancing to freakin’, “it’s getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes!” Took my button up shirt I had on, off and thinking I was just the coolest “cat” in school swung it around until I realized I was just a chubby loser! :] Now don’t get me wrong over there, you reader who has never and most likely will never meet me. I love to dance. No matter how stupid I may look, how wild the move is. It’s just something my family does, and I’d like to say I do it well but I’d definitely be lying! Either way prom comes around, and I’m without a doubt skeptical of the non-stop hip/hop, rap, and obnoxious dirty dancing. However when I arrived the place looked nice, the music was already pumpin’ some pretty good music and after only 10 or so minutes of getting used to it all, people started to dance like a bunch of teens who didn’t have a care in the world and it was awesome! As for the raunchy dancing that was done, it was kept in the back and everyone else was left to laugh and make stupidly huge motions with their arms! Ahh white people lol. Then when it was all over, before I left, hugs for anybody and everyone who wanted one, the handshake. The words. A big flippin smile. ( I just wanna cuss!)
If you had prom, hope it was awesome and good luck in college, or wherever you’re deciding to go and do. Best wishes for one and all.
Peace out-
The blackest white person you’ll… almost ever meet. (jk)

China's BIG!

The one child policy... hm, alright. So since 2006 a policy of only being allowed to give birth to one child has been implemented in China with the hopefulness that the population will decrease in size. Just a few fun facts here... China has 1.3 Billion people in it's borders. That would be about 20% of the population, of the world. Compared to the 300 million we have in the U.S., this seems completely absurd and just, "how do they do it?!" After all China's like what a quarter of the size of the States right? Probably wrong about that, terrible at geography plus it's just epicly lame so whatevs! Anyways, there's been a big need for contraceptives, as well as abortions and forced sterilization. There's a definite need for some kind of change in China, they've been growing steadily since the 50's and seem to be bursting at the seams. With high rise buildings, huge apartment buildings, crowded streets somethin' needs to change I'd say. As of right now I feel that is this were to continue it could help life out gradually and sooner or later let up a little on the only one child thing, maybe make it two all in hopes that the population doesn't just blow up like it has over the years.

Something I've kind of just seen, maybe it's because it's the idea that other people have, also no offence to you if you have a large family... but what seems to recently have been happening is that the more pool families of today have given birth to 4 or more children and they tend to be the less educated persons. Yet again, not trying to offend anybody just kind of what I've seen...

One child policy... good, usually. But not forever.
